SUMMER FUN FESTIVAL AND FIREWORKS, sponsored by Eastern York Area
Recreation Center, will be July 16, starting at Rexroth Park and ending at
Canadochly Elementary School. A Home Run Derby starts at 8:30 a.m. at Rexroth
Park Field 4, open to boys and girls ages 6 to 11. Registration is free. Prizes
will be awarded to the winners in each age group. A 3-on-3 basketball tournament
will begin at noon on the outdoor courts of Rexroth Park, with prizes awarded
the winners. Registration is 430 per team. Spaces limited; book your team soon.
A community carnival and fair will be at Canadochly Elementary School. Games and
rides for the kids. There will be TKD demonstrations, the eastern York
Performing Arts will show off part of their upcoming musical, Greenbranch will
perform some great bluegrass and a firework display at the end of the day. Bring
